Job Title: Finance and Insurance (F&I) Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Finance and Insurance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the F&I department, ensuring compliance with regulations while maximizing profitability. This role involves managing finance and insurance processes, supervising F&I staff, coordinating with sales teams, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead and support the F&I team, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement best practices to increase departmental efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure all finance managers adhere to company policies and legal compliance standards.
- Finance & Insurance Operations:
- Present financing options and aftermarket products (warranties, service contracts, GAP insurance, etc.) to customers.
- Review and approve customer financing applications.
- Secure financing through approved lenders and maintain lender relationships.
- Monitor deal funding, accuracy of paperwork, and timely processing.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to all regulations.
- Audit and maintain accurate documentation for all deals and contracts.
- Mitigate risk by ensuring full legal compliance in all transactions.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports on F&I performance.
- Track KPIs (e.g., per-vehicle revenue, penetration rates, product sales) and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to set targets and develop financial strategies.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the financing process.
- Resolve escalated customer issues related to finance or insurance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in F&I roles within automotive, insurance, or finance sectors.
- Prior supervisory or management experience is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of automotive finance, insurance products, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with F&I software and dealership management systems (e.g., Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds).
- Full-time position; may require evenings or weekends depending on dealership hours.
- Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
