Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager for Government Automotive will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and marketing efforts for automotive products and services within the government sector. This role involves working closely with government agencies, understanding their unique requirements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations while promoting the company’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans tailored to government clients.
    • Identify and analyze market trends and government procurement processes to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Government Relations:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key government agencies and officials.
    • Navigate government procurement processes, including understanding RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the government sector.
    • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to government stakeholders.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Create and manage marketing campaigns that highlight automotive products and services suitable for government use.
    • Develop promotional materials, including brochures, case studies, and online content.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with government regulations and company policies.
    • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Customer Service and Support:
    • Provide exceptional customer service to government clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of products and services.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in sales and marketing within the automotive industry, with a focus on government clients preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing government contracts and understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with government officials and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based role with occasional travel to client sites and industry events.
  • May require extended hours during peak project periods or events.
