Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Technician Support Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for providing technical support and training for our automotive products, ensuring that our field technicians are equipped with the resources they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automotive technology, possess strong communication skills, and have a keen eye for detail in technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Documentation & Resources:
    • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, manuals, and training materials for new products.
    • Ensure that all resources are accessible and user-friendly for field technicians.
  2. Training & Support:
    • Conduct training sessions for new products, ensuring technicians understand features, installation, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Provide ongoing support to field technicians, addressing questions and technical challenges they encounter.
  3. Technical Hotline Support:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for technical support via hotline, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
    • Document calls and support interactions for future reference and improvement.
  4. Service Bulletins:
    • Stay current with all service bulletins, recalls, and updates, ensuring that field technicians are informed and equipped to handle changes effectively.
    • Disseminate relevant information to the field team in a timely manner.
  5. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with other teams to provide feedback from the field and influence product improvements.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with field technicians to foster a supportive and knowledgeable work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven 3 years experience in a technical support role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, repair processes, and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and detail.
  • Proficiency in creating technical documentation and training materials.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with service bulletins and the latest automotive technologies.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with training or mentoring technical staff.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Certification in automotive service is a plus.
