Job Summary:
The Balance Sheet Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s balance sheet, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights into financial performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail, along with the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Monitor and review balance sheet accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide insights on balance sheet performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on fluctuations in balance sheet accounts.
- Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and explanations for balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies related to the balance sheet.
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting processes related to balance sheet items.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis, with a focus on balance sheet management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- CPA certification or pursuing CPA.
- Experience with specific software relevant to the position.
