Overview
- Diagnose and provide inspections, repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently, safely, and according to JMC quality and time standards
- Comply with JMC and dealership safety and environmental programs and practices
- Report to Immediate superior or Service Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
- Use technical skills and tools to ensure customer satisfaction
- Contribute to department profitability through job recommendation
- Meet with the Job Control or Service Advisor to review vehicle concerns· Accompany customers on a vehicle road test (if needed)
- Perform the vehicle concern(s) diagnosis in a timely manner
- Remain up to date on all of the latest technical service bulletins and campaigns
- Complete service and repair assignments correctly, to pass quality inspections and/or test-drives
- Collect all necessary information prior to requesting parts· Follow dealership safety rules, regulations, and practices
- Properly handle and use all special tools and equipment Acquire necessary tools and maintain in good working condition
- Prepare or record complete and accurate descriptions of work performed—cause of the problem—and identify the casual part(s) on the Repair Order
- Return ALL required warranty parts to the Parts Department for proper signoff
- Inform the Service Advisor of any and all delays that will hinder the repair and/or promise time completion
- Attend and participate in all JMC scheduled training to obtain certification· Complete all training courses provide by JMC to upgrade skills
- Keep work areas free and clear of all debris and old parts
- Follow standard workshop practices in safety and cleanliness
- Minimum experience of 3 years in as a Service Technician or equivalent
