Job Purpose: The Group Retail Manager will manage and lead a group of automotive dealerships or retail stores within a designated region. They are responsible for achieving business objectives, improving the customer experience, managing the team, and ensuring that the stores are running efficiently while meeting financial targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of multiple dealership locations or retail stores.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of store managers, sales personnel, and other support staff.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide training, and identify opportunities for team development.
    • Foster a positive and motivated work environment, ensuring high levels of employee engagement.
  • Sales and Profitability:

    • Drive sales targets and profitability for each location within the group.
    • Implement sales strategies, promotions, and marketing campaigns to boost retail performance.
    • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and taking corrective actions to improve performance.
    • Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Customer Experience:

    • Ensure that all stores maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
    • Address and resolve any escalated customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
    • Collaborate with marketing and customer service teams to develop initiatives aimed at improving the customer journey.
  • Operations and Compliance:

    • Ensure all locations adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
    • Oversee inventory management, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that products are properly displayed.
    • Implement and monitor operational procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve profitability.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of all dealership or retail facilities, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Provide regular performance reports to senior management regarding sales, profitability, and operational issues.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for all locations and address any areas of concern.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and enhanced sales strategies.
  • Strategic Planning:

    • Collaborate with upper management to set long-term business goals and objectives for the group.
    • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to keep the dealerships competitive.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the automotive industry.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple locations or teams effectively.
    • Strong sales and financial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Skills:
