Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Location: Balintawak
The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. This role is responsible for managing a team of accounting staff, preparing financial reports, and supporting audits and month-end closings.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the accounting team (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations).
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information in accordance with GAAP (or other applicable standards).
- Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules and documentation as needed.
- Monitor and enforce internal controls and company accounting policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff performance; assist with hiring and onboarding as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial goals and business operations.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and technology.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- 1–2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Standard office hours with some overtime required during peak periods (e.g., month-end close, audits).
