Financial Reporting Manager
Core Function: Quarterback of a company's financial reporting team, overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports. Here's a breakdown of their key duties:
Financial Reporting & Close
· Lead the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
· Oversee the closing process, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurate at the end of each period
· Manage the team responsible for processing financial transactions and data reconciliations
· Consolidate financial statements for subsidiaries (if applicable)
Compliance & Standards
· Ensure adherence to accounting standards like Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
· Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures
· Work with external auditors to address their inquiries and ensure a smooth audit process
Communication & Analysis
· Analyze financial data and prepare reports for internal stakeholders like the board of directors and senior management
· Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise way
· May present findings and recommendations to leadership
Team Management & Other Responsibilities
· Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
· Oversee the implementation of new accounting software or processes
· Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards
· Manage relationships with external auditors and regulators

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Accounting
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
