Position Summary:
As a Service Technician – Level 2, you will be responsible for performing intermediate-level diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles. This role requires a solid understanding of automotive systems and components, the ability to follow detailed repair procedures, and a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.
You will work under the supervision of a senior technician or shop foreman and may assist in mentoring entry-level technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, brake inspections, and fluid exchanges.
  • Conduct intermediate-level diagnostics and repairs on engine, transmission, suspension, HVAC, electrical, and fuel systems.
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify vehicle issues.
  • Install replacement parts and components (e.g., brake pads, filters, belts, hoses).
  • Assist senior technicians in complex repairs or diagnostics.
  • Document all work performed on repair orders.
  • Ensure vehicles are repaired correctly the first time and meet dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
  • Stay current with training and certifications as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Vocation course or Technical course graduate
  • Completion of a recognized automotive technician training program or apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASE Certification(s) or working toward certification.
  • OEM-specific training or certifications (e.g., GM, Ford, Toyota, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and quality of work.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:
  • Indoor automotive service shop with exposure to noise, dust, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Work may involve kneeling, bending, lifting, and working in tight spaces.
