Job Summary:

The Income Statement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the company’s income statement, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and providing insights into revenue and expense trends. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends in revenue and expenses, providing actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and assess financial performance.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, including income statements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue and expenses, reporting findings to management.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing historical data and analysis of income statement items.
• Review and reconcile income statement accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
• Assist in the audit process by providing documentation and explanations for income statement accounts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related fields, with a focus on income statement analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

• CPA certification or pursuing CPA.
• Experience with specific industries or software relevant to the position.
