Job Title: Automotive Parts Administrator
Job Summary:
The Automotive Parts Administrator is responsible for managing the inventory, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts to ensure smooth operations within the service or sales department. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate records of automotive parts inventory.
- Process purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Receive and inspect incoming parts for quality and accuracy.
- Assist customers and service technicians by locating and providing the correct parts promptly.
- Monitor stock levels and recommend reorder quantities to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Maintain parts databases and update pricing, descriptions, and specifications.
- Handle warranty claims and returns for defective parts.
- Collaborate with the service department to track parts usage and improve inventory control.
- Generate reports on inventory status, order history, and parts usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards related to parts handling.
- Previous experience in automotive parts administration or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and terminology is a plus.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse or service areas.
- May require lifting moderate weight (boxes of parts).
- Standard business hours, with possible overtime during busy periods.
