Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Consultant is responsible for selling new and pre-owned vehicles while providing an exceptional customer experience. This role goes beyond entry-level sales by leveraging years of industry experience, product knowledge, and client relationships to meet or exceed dealership sales targets. The senior consultant is also expected to mentor junior sales staff and contribute to the overall success and reputation of the dealership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles and finance options
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dealership inventory, promotions, and manufacturer programs
  • Present and demonstrate vehicle features and benefits clearly and confidently
  • Negotiate pricing and financing terms in alignment with dealership policies
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to generate repeat and referral business
  • Assist in the onboarding and mentoring of junior sales staff
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM tools and ensure timely follow-up with all leads
  • Conduct trade-in evaluations and coordinate with appraisers
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with regulations
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and industry developments
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and dealership events as required

Qualifications:
  • College graduate or Vocational course graduate
  • 3+ years of automotive sales experience
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and dealership management software
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred Skills:
  • Bilingual abilities (a plus depending on dealership demographics)
  • Experience with light trucks and pick-ups
  • Understanding of automotive finance and leasing processes
  • Leadership or mentorship experience

Work Environment & Schedule:
  • Fast-paced retail dealership environment
  • Evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
  • Standing, walking, and outdoor vehicle lot exposure throughout the day
