The Role
The Parts Planning Supervisor manages parts inventory, ordering, and availability of a national distribution company. This role ensures that genuine parts and accessories are stocked at optimal levels, that replenishment orders are triggered proactively, and that all stock movements are accurately recorded in NetSuite. The Parts Planning Supervisor supports both the wholesale distribution channel and service operations by maintaining a reliable parts supply.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Parts Inventory Management: Maintains accurate parts stock records in NetSuite. Conducts cycle counts, reconciles variances, and ensures the system matches physical stock.
- Parts Ordering & Replenishment: Monitors reorder points and triggers replenishment orders from the principal or approved suppliers. Minimizes stockouts and overstocking.
- Wholesale & Dealer Parts Support: Coordinates parts availability for wholesale dealer orders. Ensures correct pricing and complete documentation for all outbound orders.
- Parts Receiving: Receives and inspects incoming parts orders. Validates delivery against purchase order and posts stock-in in NetSuite on the day of receipt.
- Inventory Accuracy: Conducts monthly cycle counts and reconciles physical inventory against NetSuite. Investigates and resolves variances.
- Slow-Moving Stock Management: Identifies and reports slow-moving and dead stock. Recommends disposition strategies to the Parts Manager.
- Parts Pricing & Promotions: Maintains current parts pricing in NetSuite. Supports the Parts Manager in pricing and promotion implementation.
- Reporting: Submits inventory, sales, and fill rate reports to the GAI Parts Manager on schedule.
