The Role
The HR Operations Supervisor ensures the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of the company’s core HR operational processes. This role oversees payroll, timekeeping, compensation and benefits administration, HRIS governance, and onboarding execution while enforcing strong internal controls and documentation standards.
The position plays a critical role in protecting the organization from payroll, compliance, and operational risks by maintaining reliable HR data, disciplined processes, and audit-ready documentation. The HR Operations Supervisor also leads HR operations staff and coordinates closely with HR Business Partners, Accounting, Treasury, and branch teams to ensure smooth and compliant HR service delivery across all locations.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise daily HR operations including payroll, timekeeping, benefits administration, and employee movement processing.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including validation, variance analysis, and final pay computation.
- Maintain HRIS data integrity and oversee employee master data, system workflows, and reporting.
- Manage timekeeping controls across branches, including overtime, holiday pay, night differential, and attendance validation.
- Administer employee benefits programs such as HMO, insurance, allowances, and statutory deductions.
- Coordinate statutory compliance requirements including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and BIR reporting and remittances.
- Oversee onboarding operations, ensuring new hires are properly documented, system-encoded, and payroll-ready.
- Enforce internal control procedures, approval matrices, and documentation standards for all HR operational transactions.
- Support internal and external audits by maintaining organized and audit-ready HR records.
- Coordinate with Recruitment, HRBP, Accounting, Treasury, and branch admins to ensure smooth HR operational workflows.
- Supervise and coach HR operations staff to ensure accuracy, accountability, and adherence to SOPs.
What We Expect From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Management, Psychology, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of HR operations experience, covering payroll, timekeeping, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
- 3–4 years of supervisory or lead experience overseeing HR operations staff or shared-service HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping rules, and compensation & benefits administration in the Philippine setting.
- Solid understanding of HRIS systems, preferably Sprout HRIS or a similar payroll/HR platform.
- Ability to enforce internal controls, documentation standards, and approval protocols.
- Experience managing multi-branch or multi-site HR operations environments.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, especially in payroll validation and variance analysis.
- High level of attention to detail, integrity, and compliance discipline.
- Ability to supervise and develop HR operations staff while maintaining accountability and accuracy.
- Effective cross-department coordination with HR, Finance, and branch operations teams.
- Ability to remain organized and decisive during high-volume periods such as payroll cutoffs, onboarding waves, and audits.
