The Role
The Branch Finance Manager leads the financial control environment of a dealership branch — owning accurate billing, complete collections, disciplined AR/AP documentation flow, compliant LTO and F&I processing, and audit-ready inventory and facilities records. This role protects branch assets, enforces internal controls and cutoffs, and is the primary point of financial accountability at branch level, coordinating closely with Sales, Service, Inventory, HR and Admin, and Central Accounting.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Cash Management & Asset Protection: Runs daily cash count, deposit, and reconciliation against ORs, system postings, and bank/POS settlements. Enforces cash control policy and investigates every variance to zero.
- Accurate & Timely Invoicing (Vehicle, Parts, Service): Ensures all billing follows approved pricing and required documents, and is issued within cutoff. Controls credit memos and cancellations through documented approval and root-cause tracking.
- Accounts Receivable (AR) Governance & Collections Support: Keeps customer ledgers accurate and AR aging within target through SOA issuance, follow-up, and dispute tracking. Escalates delinquency risk and recommends controls.
- Branch Payables Documentation & Vendor Payment Support: Validates supplier invoices and supporting documents, and endorses complete AP packets to Central Accounting/AP within cutoff. Owns the branch AP tracker end to end.
- LTO Processing & Vehicle Documentation Compliance: Manages end-to-end LTO registration — filing, tracking, backlog, and release scheduling — within SLA and with zero penalty exposure.
- Finance & Insurance (F&I) Tracking: Tracks documentation completeness for financed deals, monitors financing-partner receivables, and reconciles approved-vs-released-vs-invoiced-vs-collected status.
- Inventory Integrity & Audit (Vehicles and Parts): Independently verifies physical counts executed by the Inventory Manager against system records, investigates and documents variances, and verifies adjustment recommendations through to Central Accounting approval.
- Branch Facilities & Operational Compliance Admin: Keeps facilities expense documentation complete and filed, and maintains the branch's business permit and regulatory compliance calendar.
- Reporting, Internal Controls & Team Leadership: Produces the branch's recurring finance reports, enforces segregation of duties and standardized checklists, and leads, coaches, and evaluates the branch finance team.
